Fresh new powder was all around us. We were ready to get some good skiing in. We hiked a bit out at Bear Valley, California in order to get to this place. The temperature was perfect, the skies were crystal blue, and the snow was deep... We couldn't have asked for more.
[The shot was taken with a cheap 640x480 digital camera. I would have to 'rig' it in order to take half the shots, because there were limited settings that I could adjust. the contrast/saturation was slightly modified in ps]
well, that shadow is just darn cool, i mean, it's the same colour as the sky....which ties the piece together i'd say. It's a nice balance. And then the composition, with the large tree on the left and another tree further away in the distance. It simply looks great.
wow glad you took the photo before skiing on such a perfect snow, well i guess that later some else would have been skiing, but at least you took the photo first
nice job
